AI-produced text is accurate but generally pretty anodyne, and I suppose humans are still able to beat it (for now) in terms of empathy and relatability b) what you say about the 'handoff of power'. This is so crucial and so hard for so many educators (including me!). Especially now, we need to respect where students are at and try to be less controlling.
